As of June 1st, 2025, I have decided to step down from active brokering and stay on in an advisory role only with Ottawa Carleton Mortgage.  With 41 years as a mortgage broker in Ottawa, I felt it was time to move on to other things in retirement. My son Chris will be happy to carry on the business.
My journey in this financial career began right after college, and my passion for what I do remains unwavering. Reflecting on the evolution of our industry—from sending daily mortgage applications by courier to lenders in Toronto to the instant, online submissions of today— the changes have been significant. The convenience and speed of modern mortgage financing have transformed the experience for everyone involved.

Throughout my career, I have built strong relationships with a wide range of financial institutions, including major banks, credit unions, and various life and trust companies. This network allows me to offer competitive rates and tailored products to meet diverse client needs. While I have financed everything from single-family homes to commercial plazas, my true specialty lies in the everyday purchase and sale of residential properties. I particularly enjoy working with first-time home buyers, guiding them through the process with expertise and care. There’s nothing quite like the joy of helping someone achieve the dream of homeownership and knowing that my knowledge has made their journey smoother.

Inspired by my father, a seasoned mortgage broker with over 30 years of experience, I delved into the mortgage industry, realizing it was the ideal career for me.
